Downtown Chicago’s Most Iconic Locations: An Engagement Session at Millennium Park and Beyond
This is a short paragraph that serves as a sort of bio, telling readers who the author of the blog is.
This is who you are
What better way to kick off a trip to Chicago than an engagement session in Millenium Park! The city of Chicago has so much to offer visitors who value the hustle and bustle. The Italian Beefs, Chicago hot dogs and deep dish pizza has be trying to figure out when I’ll be back next. I loved this session for many reasons. Our couple has been together over 8 years and are finally sealing the deal on October 15th, 2021. Its been a long wedding planning journey for these two. When COVID-19 hit, they were forced to reschedule their wedding so all their friends and family could join. Both a blessing and a curse, its given them both more time to carefully pick out details and lock in vendors after a horrific year.
We kicked off our session at Adler Planetarium to get that skyline view of one of the most beautiful cities in the US. We got to walk along the lake together a may have suffered a bit of freeze from the windy city. Alas, we ended up at a museum down the street for what made for the MOST glorious light. Not only did the architecture give off old Greek vibes, but the light bounced off of those beautiful neutral walls like nothing I’ve ever seen before. I knew in that moment, those would be my favorite images of the day. After all the luminous light, we ended our session in the BIG city streets. The Bean, the most popular Chicago tourist attraction was just steps away. Millenium Park wasn’t as busy as usual but we got some beautiful shots on a balcony and at Founders Plaza.
Last but not least, my favorite building in ALL of Chicago – The Wrigley Building. HONESTLY yall, I was gushing over the rococo architecture and the golden doors to enter. I mean JUST LOOK AT IT below! I have to say Chicago has a special place in my heart. Most of my family is from here and I spent many summers here on Lake Shore Drive on the beach and eating ice cream. I’ve missed that part of my life and I was so happy to be back. I am so excited to be sharing this session, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did shooting it. Congratulations to this incredible couple, I cannot wait for your wedding day!
