When Elaina Michelle walked into The Blue Room at Emilia’s on a Friday evening, I just knew this was going to be something special. The space itself is basically her engagement story come to life—all these gorgeous shades of blue velvet and gold details, and I’m standing there thinking, “This is exactly how she felt standing in front of the Eiffel Tower when her partner proposed.”
The Blue Room is tucked inside the Crescent Hotel in Fort Worth, and honestly? It’s not your typical bridal shower venue. There’s only thirteen tables, it’s completely private, hidden behind frosted glass doors, and the blue walls alone do like half the work for you. You literally can’t mess up the color coordination in here. But here’s what really got me—watching Elaina just be there. She’s got nearly 2 million followers across social media, and yet she showed up completely present, unhurried, genuinely grateful for the people around her. No distraction, no performance. Just her and her closest friends.
I’ve photographed a lot of bridal events, but smaller, intimate celebrations? They show you something different. They show you what actually matters to a couple when the pressure of a 200-person wedding isn’t hanging over everything.
What Made This Celebration at The Blue Room at Emilia’s Work
So here’s the thing about Elaina’s shower—it was all simplicity and elegance mixed together. She basically said, “I want to hang out with my closest friends in a beautiful space, and I want it to feel intentional.” Nothing over the top, nothing that pulls focus away from the people actually celebrating her.
And then? Midway through dinner, her partner sends this absolutely stunning bouquet. I’m talking blue hydrangeas, ivory roses, blush garden roses, chartreuse, hot pink stock—like, actually gorgeous. The moment she received it, surrounded by her friends, I just watched everyone lose it. No big speech needed. It was just this perfect moment where his love was like, speaking for itself.
Location was honestly perfect for what she wanted. The The Blue Room at Emilia’s opened in February 2024 inside the Crescent Hotel, and it’s literally designed for intimate moments like this. It’s tucked inside Emilia’s Mediterranean restaurant, hidden behind frosted glass doors, and the capacity is only about fifty people. Plus, Friday and Saturday nights are specifically reserved for celebrations—so you’re not competing with other events, which honestly makes such a difference.
But the real thing Elaina needed? Presence. No distractions, no rushing, no feeling like she was one of ten showers happening that night. She wanted her friends, good food, and a space that felt like it was made for this moment.
Environment & Emotional Tone of The Blue Room at Emilia’s
The Blue Room at Emilia’s is sophisticated without ever trying to be fancy, if that makes sense? Chef Preston Paine runs the kitchen, and he trained at Eleven Madison Park in New York, but his whole approach is “low intervention”—he lets the food speak for itself. He sources everything locally from Texas, and honestly, the brunch spread menu they put together for Elaina’s shower wasn’t trying to show off. It was just giving everyone time to breathe and socialize, to actually talk to each other, to laugh.
The tablescapes were honestly beautiful. There was this custom floral bar—not stuffy at all, just fresh and alive. It had traditional bridal pastels but also these unexpected pops of color that made you want to take a photo without overthinking it. And then the cake! Pale blue with this ornate white piped “E” monogram. Literally like a piece of art. They even had custom pale blue macarons scattered throughout the space to match the whole palette.
The feeling in the room though? That’s what got me. There were bridal games happening, but they weren’t forced or cheesy—they were just these timeless moments that got everyone connecting. I watched Elaina’s friends literally lean across tables to tell stories about her, laugh so hard their shoulders were shaking, offer real, genuine advice about marriage. And the room itself? The blue velvet kind of absorbs sound in this way that makes conversations feel private, even when you’re in a dining room with other people. The mirrors and chandelier catch light beautifully without being distracting.
But the thing that really stood out to me was the pacing. Chef Paine’s team moved through service like dancers. There was never a rush, never that awkward gap between plates. That kind of service is almost invisible—it just holds space for everyone to actually celebrate.
The Details That Mattered
Elaina had this quiet French influence woven throughout everything a total nod to her Paris proposal but she didn’t go full “theme party,” which I appreciated. Like, she let it live in the colors and the feeling of things rather than making it costume-y. The pale blue and ivory, the way florals were approached, the custom macarons and monogrammed cake—all of it just spoke this language of European elegance without being like, “Okay, we’re doing Paris now.”
The floral bar was honestly inspired. It wasn’t just sitting there looking pretty—it was an experience. Guests were admiring it, taking photos, feeling like they were part of something that was specifically curated for Elaina. And the way the florals came together? Blues, whites, pinks, lime greens—it all felt intentional but not overly coordinated. Like, it’s the kind of arrangement that makes photographers genuinely excited.
And the food! Emilia’s catering team and Chef Paine created this seamless thing. The food wasn’t just delicious—it was like a conversation. Fresh fish, mimosa service, gorgeous spread presentations, all the fine dining hallmarks, but in this setting where you actually felt comfortable asking questions, laughing, being present with your friends.
One moment I loved? Watching Elaina during bridal games reference The Princess Diaries and The Devil Wears Prada as her favorite movies. Like, that’s so her. Both of those movies are all about women who are smart, kind, joyful, and never apologize for any of it. And that’s exactly who Elaina is in person too.
Insider Tips for Your Own Bridal Shower at The Blue Room at Emilia’s

- Let the blue walls do their thing. You don’t need to extravagant decorating because the space is already elegant. Elaina brought in florals and a custom cake, but honestly, that’s it. Work with the color palette instead of fighting it, and you’re golden.
- Plan for timing. The six-course tasting menu flows really naturally—not rushed, just intentional. Block out about two and a half to three hours if you want toasts, games, and actually savoring the experience.
- Actually talk to the sommelier. Joel Teddlie personally curates the wine list, and he’s genuinely knowledgeable. Let him help you pick pairings that match both the food and the vibe you want. This part is worth it.
- The windows are stunning. There’s this whole wall of windows overlooking The Crescent’s enclosed courtyard, and at night when it’s lit up? Chef’s kiss. Photographers especially will love the light in here.
- They’re flexible. The team didn’t blink when Elaina wanted a floral bar, custom cake, specific menu things—they just made it happen. They’re used to hosting meaningful moments, so trust that you’re in good hands.
A Note on Elaina
Elaina has 1.67+ million Instagram followers and over 2.3 million on TikTok—she’s doing the whole beauty, health, fashion, lifestyle thing. But honestly? When I was photographing her shower, you’d never know any of that. She’s genuinely interested in the people around her. She actually listens, remembers things and laughs freely.
What really struck me was how grounded she is. Despite having this massive platform, she wanted something small and intimate with people she actually loves. No spectacle, no moments performed for a camera. Just real quality time before marriage. It made the whole afternoon feel less like I was documenting an influencer’s milestone and more like I was witnessing something genuine—just friends who actually care about each other.

FAQ about The Blue Room at Emilia’s
Can you book The Blue Room at Emilia’s for a private event?
Yes. The Blue Room functions as a private dining space inside Emilia’s at The Crescent Hotel Fort Worth, and it’s one of the few rooms in the city that feels genuinely designed rather than just reserved. You’ll work through the hotel’s events team rather than booking through Resy the way you would for a regular dinner reservation.
Where is The Blue Room located?
Inside Emilia’s at The Crescent Hotel Fort Worth, right at the edge of the Cultural District. It’s tucked behind frosted glass doors, so guests walk through the main restaurant and then into a completely separate room. That reveal is part of the appeal.
Is The Blue Room a good bridal shower venue, or is it more of a dinner spot?
Both work, but it’s especially strong for a shower because the room does the decorating for you. Blue velvet walls, oversized round mirrors, an abstract chandelier, and a wall of windows onto the courtyard. You’re not fighting a beige banquet room.
Who traditionally hosts and pays for the bridal shower?
Historically the maid of honor and bridal party, often with the mothers of the couple. In practice it’s whoever offers, and it’s increasingly split. What matters more is that one person owns the vendor communication so the venue has a single point of contact.
How long should a bridal shower last?
Two and a half to three hours is the range that works. Arrival and drinks for thirty minutes, a seated meal, then gifts or a toast. Past three hours the energy dips and people start checking their phones.
